Spring cleaning restores water clarity, removes winter buildup, and revitalizes the pond ecosystem after months of reduced activity. Over winter, organic debris and sediment accumulate and place stress on pumps, filtration, and fish if not properly addressed.
Our spring cleaning service focuses on debris removal, power washing, system inspection, and restarting pumps along with any other filtration components. Water quality is stabilized, equipment is checked for winter related wear, and the pond is prepared for healthy operation through the active season.
We can determine what the problem is during inspection, but replacements parts will be available for purchase
The water in your pond contains a multitude of beneficial organisms that work together to sustain the health of your aquatic pets. Reusing this water reduces stress on animals and reintroduces an important balance without having to start from scratch, of course there can be exceptions and client requests.
Plants will get trimmed and thinned.
Absolutely! The fertilizer tabs are a small fee. We use the thrive brand. If you have tabs already, we will applicate for no cost.
Spring cleaning helps reduce algae by removing organic buildup and restoring proper circulation, but it does not guarantee algae will never re-appear. Long term algae control depends on sunlight exposure, nutrient levels, plant balance, and ongoing maintenance.
If you decide to buy an upgrade, or an additional pond peripheral we will waive an installation fee since we are already there, we typically have small items such as UVs ,Ion gens , aerators, and unit replacement parts with us. If it is a bigger ticket item, it will have to be scheduled and installed with a fee.
Every pond varies in size, and pricing. Pricing starts at $465 for the first 2 hours, and than an additional 65$ an hour per additional hour. A 2,000-3,000 gallon pond averages around 2-2.5 hours to clean. Pondless features and fountains start at $250.00
We net the fish out, and put them in the holding tank that is holding the pond water. Koi will be handled using our premium Japanese koi socks.
Weather and temps permitting, we like to start the last week in March. Clean-outs are first come first serve, but we do try and schedule them in clusters. We are typically cleaning ponds from the end of March, into the first week of June. After that the price goes up as we are into construction season.
Yes. We perform spring cleanings on existing ponds regardless of who originally installed them. Each pond is evaluated to understand its design, equipment, and current condition before cleaning begins.
