FAQ

Spring pond cleaning focuses on restoring the pond after winter and preparing it for the active season. Service typically includes removal of debris and organic buildup, cleaning of rocks and liner surfaces, inspection and cleaning of pumps and filtration components, trimming or repositioning aquatic plants, and refilling and balancing the water. The goal is to improve water quality, restore proper circulation, and identify any issues early before they turn into larger problems during the warmer months.

Spring pond cleaning is typically scheduled once temperatures begin to stabilize and before algae growth accelerates. The ideal timing depends on local weather conditions, but most cleanings occur in early to mid spring to give the pond a clean start before peak growth season.

Yes. Spring cleaning is performed with fish safety in mind. Water is handled carefully, filtration and aeration are maintained, and fish are protected from unnecessary stress during the process. Proper spring cleaning can actually improve fish health by restoring water quality.

Draining depends on the condition of the pond and the amount of debris present. Some ponds require partial draining, while others can be cleaned without fully draining. The approach is determined during evaluation to avoid unnecessary disruption to the system.

Spring cleaning helps reduce algae by removing organic buildup and restoring proper circulation, but it does not guarantee algae will never appear. Long term algae control depends on sunlight exposure, nutrient levels, plant balance, and ongoing maintenance.

Yes. We perform spring cleanings on existing ponds regardless of who originally installed them. Each pond is evaluated to understand its design, equipment, and current condition before cleaning begins.

Skipping spring cleaning can lead to poor water quality, increased algae growth, clogged filtration, and added strain on pumps and equipment. These issues often worsen as the season progresses and can result in more costly repairs later.

Most spring cleanings are completed in a single visit, typically 2-3 hours. Larger or heavily impacted ponds may take longer. A clear time estimate is provided before work begins.
